Bring Your Family to Us for Kid-Friendly Care

Our office is an adventure land for kids with books, toys, and games in the reception area for them to enjoy. We even have a tumble area and video games! They will enjoy taking an entertaining walk down “Salamander Alley” to one of our seven treatment rooms. During their appointment, we use age-appropriate tell-show-do, voice control, nonverbal communication, positive reinforcement, and distraction methods to make our young patients and their parents as comfortable as possible. Our goal is to establish positive associations for our young patients so that oral health care is something to look forward to, not be worried about.

From preventive treatment to dentistry for kids with special needs, you’ll find all the services your little ones need for a bright, healthy smile! Call 301-383-9831 today to schedule with a pediatric dentist in Rockville, MD.

Common Questions About Our Services
What type of toothbrush should my child use?

We recommend a soft bristle toothbrush or ideally an electric toothbrush for more thorough cleaning. However, the brushing technique matters more than the brush. You’ll want to help your child brush for at least two minutes twice a day. Make sure your child covers all sides of their teeth. If you aren’t sure about your child’s brushing technique, we’ll be happy to show you how to assist them at your next appointment.

Why is pediatric dentistry important?

Pediatric dentistry is important because children have different dental needs than adults do. Their jaws and teeth are still developing and need the skills of a dentist who is experienced in treating children on a regular basis. We love seeing kids of all ages in our office, so you can feel comfortable bringing them here for their smile care.

When should tongue-tie be corrected?

A tongue-tie problem should be corrected when it is first noticed. The younger the child is when the problem is taken care of, the better off they’ll be. There is no reason to put off treatment once we have identified the condition. Treating the problem early will help your child avoid problems with eating, breathing, and speech. We can perform a frenectomy using a dental laser in a matter of minutes.
