We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.
As of May 6, Governor Larry Hogan has issued new executive orders to allow for the resumption of elective and non-urgent medical procedures in healthcare facilities. While we are eager to see our patients, and many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. Our practice has taken many steps to keep patients and staff safe.
We will be re-opening our office slowly. This means that we will start seeing patients that have oral healthcare concerns and provide treatment which is classified as more severe or urgent. In essence, this will be a “soft opening”, followed by the addition of routine dental care visits.
Please be patient with us as we are limiting the amount of staff and patients in our office and extending appointment times in order to provide social distancing.
We ask at this time to please wait on rescheduling routine visits (we will send out an updated email within 2 weeks). If however, you have oral/dental health concerns or have treatment that needs completion, please contact us. At this time, the best form of communication is:
1. If your child is experiencing a dental emergency, please call our office number 301-330-3222, followed by “6” to reach Dr. Alalouf
2. If not an emergency, it is best to email us at email@example.com with your name, best number, and concern, and we will return your call to schedule an appointment. Please note that this email is monitored during business hours, not on weekends, and we will call you back as soon as we can.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example: •Face coverings are required for everyone age 2 and up •Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask COVID-19 screening questions prior and day of your appointment. •Hand sanitizer is to be used upon entry into the practice. Hand sanitizer will also be available for additional use during your stay. • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines and children’s toys to maximize cleanliness. • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, friends, and family.
